They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gustav Skålberg made the kick off in the second half. Ted Mellin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Skålberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Stig-Arne Klintæus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åtvidaberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Arne Klintæus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Åtvidaberg booed when Vendelsö Af Malm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Öfverman didn't get a good kick on the ball.
