Mathias Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Colada booed when Västerfärnebo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Magnus Lustig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Kråk having to make a save. A collision led to Västerfärnebo getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mathias Nilsson hit a great ball. Leif Alebäck made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Carl Hasselqvist. After a defensive mix-up in Colada's zone, Dick Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Johansson came out of the goal and Dick Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Colada defense, Inge Lundström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brian Johansson. The Colada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Johansson should have stopped the shot. Dick Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mathias Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Brian Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Inge Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Johansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Västerfärnebo's Mathias Nilsson got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Mathias Nilsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Brian Johansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Sven-Ove Malmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Västerfärnebo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Magnus Lustig to strike the kick off in the second half. Colada's Brian Johansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Colada from getting a goal against them. Brian Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Colada supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Västerfärnebo's performance. The match ended with a win for Västerfärnebo.
