Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 20 minutes into the game, Per Askestät was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Swede United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb the free kick. After 20 played minutes Swede United got a freekick which was hit by Per Askestät. The corner led Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb's Nils Dalström to fire away a dangerous shot which Tommy Kinnman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tony Samuelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb's Jan-Åke Hellgren got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kent Olofsson charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Olofsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tony Samuelsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Tommy Kinnman made a huge save. Jonathan Bjursell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kinnman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Stig-Ove Åberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Tommy Kinnman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Åke Hellgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Swede United's Svante Fernström got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Swede United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Svante Fernström made the kick off in the second half. Adam Frisk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nils Ahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Thor Lindgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kent Olofsson missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 56 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Tommy Kinnman right hand side. 63 minutes into the match, Swede United's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Hellgren came free, but Tommy Kinnman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Swede United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thor Lindgren to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when Axel Sundén put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Swede United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb:s goal. Kent Olofsson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After having played for 82 minutes, Jan-Åke Hellgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Åke Hellgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb booed when Swede United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svante Fernström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Svesses Kanoner Bollklubb's Jonathan Bjursell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kinnman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jonathan Bjursell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Swede United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
