BOR FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Berglund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ola Bergqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BOR FC's Arne Erserman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kåre Henriksson in the 15th minute of play. Äppelbo BK's Ola Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Palmquist in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Äppelbo BK's Torgny Rosendal got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in BOR FC's zone, Kåre Henriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Erserman came out of the goal and Kåre Henriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kåre Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Arne Erserman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Berglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ola Bergqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven Berglund ran back to his position shaking his head. Peder Palmquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Collin was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Lars Berglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ola Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ola Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Richard Collin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BOR FC's Lars Berglund got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Collin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arne Erserman having to make a save. The BOR FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Äppelbo BK's performance. The match ended with a win for Äppelbo BK.
