The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. John Högström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Joel Karlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Norsborgs IF's John Högström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Karlberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Norsborgs IF's John Högström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Norsborgs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Granberg came free, but Johan Vennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hjalmar Blomberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Johannes Granberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ekshärad FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Granberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johannes Granberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johan Vennerström having to make a save. Hjalmar Blomberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hjalmar Blomberg struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Johan Vennerström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ekshärad FK. 41 minutes in the game, John Högström fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joel Karlberg having to interfere. Ekshärad FK's Joel Karlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Högström in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hjalmar Blomberg was the one to do the kick off. Christian Bremming took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joel Karlberg. Ekshärad FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. John Högström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Joel Karlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Ekshärad FK's zone, Kjell Modig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Karlberg came out of the goal and Kjell Modig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johannes Granberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Vennerström having to interfere. John Högström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Joel Karlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Ekshärad FK got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Fransson. Joel Karlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Modig in the 76th minute of play. Kjell Modig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Karlberg having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Filip Back hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Ekshärad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Johan Ekenberg came free, but Joel Karlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per-Arne Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Johannes Granberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
