Ragnar Ryberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Karlberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Ekshärad FK booed when Bloom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaj Holmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Granberg in the 21st minute of play forced Bloom FC's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Flinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Bäcklin's late challenge caught a Ekshärad FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustaf Bäcklin helped the player get up and apologised. 22 minutes into the game, one of Bloom FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Ekshärad FK. Jonatan Eklund stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nils-Åke Flinck. 1-0. Olle Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nils-Åke Flinck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 32 minutes, Johannes Granberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bloom FC's zone, Olle Bengtsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Åke Flinck came out of the goal and Olle Bengtsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Börje Nordlander might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Karlberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Börje Nordlander ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johannes Granberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Olle Bengtsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ekshärad FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 57 played minutes Bloom FC got a freekick which was hit by Verner Björklund. Joel Karlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ragnar Ryberg in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute Börje Nordlander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Ekshärad FK's goalkeeper Joel Karlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alf Nyström. Ragnar Ryberg struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Joel Karlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bloom FC. Bloom FC's Börje Nordlander got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Bloom FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils-Åke Flinck should have stopped the shot. Ekshärad FK's Joel Karlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Nordlander in the 91st minute of play. Nils-Åke Flinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olle Bengtsson in the 94th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Börje Nordlander in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Karlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ekshärad FK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bloom FC for a fine match.
