Gilbert Telin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Blomberg in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Johnny Örnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nils-Åke Lindström fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekshärad FK's protests and gave Nils-Åke Lindström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Ekshärad FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Åke Lindström to maneuver through the defense. Johannes Granberg's late challenge caught a Ärla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Granberg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ekshärad FK's Johannes Granberg got a free kick in the 40th minute. Joel Karlberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roland Nord went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

Joel Karlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Vennerström in the 52nd minute of play. Johnny Danielsson lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Ekshärad FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ärla:s goal. Johannes Granberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sten Vennerström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Karlberg having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Ekshärad FK's goalkeeper Joel Karlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Nord. In the 71st minute Sten Vennerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Nord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Karlberg having to interfere. With a little luck, Ekshärad FK's Joel Karlberg got control of the ball when Roland Nord tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ärla walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
