The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sköldinge IF's Sten Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Modig in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Norsborgs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Jernberg came free, but Johan Vennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anthon Biörnberg's late challenge caught a Sköldinge IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthon Biörnberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 48 played minutes Norsborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Anthon Biörnberg. After the first half Norsborgs IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peter Jernberg made a kick off. In the 56th minute John Högström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Häll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Karl-Johan Ekenberg fired a really elegant long shot, but Sten Häll threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post.
