It was a penalty for Väröbacka FK! Väröbacka FK:s Gösta Holm showed great skill when he stopped Bo Odman:s penalty. After recieving a nice pass, Gunners FC's Bo Odman tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gösta Holm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Nykvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The long shot by Arne Åkerberg in the 45th minute really tested Gösta Holm's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Lennart Rydelius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Holm having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sverker Nykvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gösta Holm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Nykvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Lennart Rydelius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gösta Holm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Väröbacka FK's Gösta Holm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Rydelius in the 58th minute of play. Sverker Nykvist struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gösta Holm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunners FC. Gösta Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sverker Nykvist in the 79th minute of play. When Sverker Nykvist came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Gunners FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sverker Nykvist couldn't finish the play. Gunners FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
