After having played for 9 minutes, Gustav Kvalfält managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rödeby FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustav Kvalfält was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ingmar Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Arvidsson in the 22nd minute of the match. With his leg Ingmar Lindholm managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Rödeby FF's Jarl Björklund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Douglas Arvidsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 28th minute Jarl Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingmar Lindholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Magnus Ström fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällefors's protests and gave Magnus Ström a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hällefors's Magnus Ström got a free kick in the 30th minute. Rödeby FF's Gustav Kvalfält shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ingmar Lindholm but with some difficulty. Johannes Rolandsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Johannes Rolandsson came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Rödeby FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Rolandsson couldn't finish the play. Ingmar Lindholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Johannes Rolandsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jarl Björklund was the one to do the kick off. Gustav Kvalfält scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingmar Lindholm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Jens-Ola Alebeck made a precise shot to the right of Conny Boman. Rödeby FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Hällefors getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jens-Ola Alebeck hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Gustav Kvalfält managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rödeby FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustav Kvalfält was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Lindholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarl Björklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingmar Lindholm having to make a save. Ingmar Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Arvidsson in the 77th minute of the match. Krister Soned recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Johannes Rolandsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jarl Björklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingmar Lindholm having to make a save. Johannes Rolandsson struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ingmar Lindholm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rödeby FF. In the 87th minute, Jens-Ola Alebeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hällefors's Sigvard Bäckström suffered a fractured collar bone after 89 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gustav Kvalfält charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustav Kvalfält the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hällefors booed when Rödeby FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Kvalfält didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jarl Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Johannes Rolandsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
