Kennet Josefsson had several of the Gullabo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Edwin Jonsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Östen Sandström in the 32nd minute of play forced Vallda FF's goalkeeper Sven Beneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bo Vennerkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edwin Jonsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bo Vennerkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the game, Göran Wennerberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gullabo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vallda FF the free kick. A collision led to Gullabo getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Göran Wennerberg hit a great ball. Robin Alberg charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robin Alberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christer Nyqvist was the one to do the kick off. Jonas Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Edwin Jonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bo Vennerkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Vallda FF booed when Gullabo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Albom didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Christer Nyqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Beneth was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Vallda FF's Kennet Josefsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin Jonsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match Robin Alberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven Beneth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Östen Sandström in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sven Beneth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 73rd minute, Östen Sandström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven Beneth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Nyqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bo Vennerkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Josefsson in the 86th minute of play forced Gullabo's goalkeeper Edwin Jonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Göran Wennerberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Gullabo's Göran Wennerberg got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Kennet Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gullabo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vallda FF.
