Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mattias Bergren started the match with the kick off. Rudolf Hallgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 7 minutes of play, Tibro's Vilhelm Åberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the match, Tibro's Vilhelm Åberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt-Arne Rudqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ås FK's Mattias Bergren in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tibro's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Mattias Bergren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aleksander Skröder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aleksander Skröder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Bergren, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The attack was good, but when Per-Oskar Hydén in the 25th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 26 played minutes Tibro got a freekick which was hit by Petter Olofsson. Mattias Bergren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petter Olofsson hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, Ås FK's Mattias Bergren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aleksander Skröder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Billy Alströmer's late challenge caught a Ås FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Alströmer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ås FK booed when Tibro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Alströmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ås FK's Mattias Bergren in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tibro's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilhelm Åberg to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ås FK's zone, Rudolf Hallgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist came out of the goal and Rudolf Hallgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ås FK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vilhelm Åberg 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Tibro's Vilhelm Åberg got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ås FK's zone, Vilhelm Åberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist came out of the goal and Vilhelm Åberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Bergren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Bergren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Aleksander Skröder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo-Erik Björklund during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vilgot Johansson hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Billy Alströmer. The audience was convinced that Per-Oskar Hydén's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksander Skröder was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tibro eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
