Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tim Jonsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Tim Jonsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bengt-Arne Rudqvist to make any attempt to save it. Olof Abrahamsson kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Stefan Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svenska ryssklanen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With his leg Bengt-Arne Rudqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Svenska ryssklanen's Stefan Nilsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Tim Jonsson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Bengt-Arne Rudqvist to make any attempt to save it. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist was a little too slow when Stefan Nilsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 3-0. Ås FK's Bengt-Arne Rudqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ås FK from getting a goal against them. Ås FK's Mattias Bergren got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vilgot Johansson's late challenge caught a Svenska ryssklanen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilgot Johansson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Vilgot Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mattias Bergren to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ås FK's Per-Oskar Hydén sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kjell Smitt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ås FK's zone, Stefan Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist came out of the goal and Stefan Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mikael Holm scored 4-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Arne Rudqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jimmie Ahlgren, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ås FK's Bengt-Arne Rudqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Jonsson in the 73rd minute of play. Stefan Nilsson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Svenska ryssklanen. A collision led to Ås FK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Vilgot Johansson hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Svenska ryssklanen's Jimmie Ahlgren tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tim Jonsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt-Arne Rudqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Holm in the 83rd minute of play. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stefan Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Arne Rudqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Holm in the 88th minute of play. Svenska ryssklanen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
