When Forza Bajen's Per-Olof Ekström in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hans Sörman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Erik Hägert when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erik Hägert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Olof Ekström in the 9th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Hans Sörman took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Erik Hägert to make any attempt to save it. After 13 played minutes Gärsnäs got a freekick which was hit by Hans Almstedt. The crowd rose to their feet as Per-Olof Ekström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erik Hägert. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Gärsnäs's Jonas Harlén suffered a concussion in the 23rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 23 minutes into the game, Bo-Erik Gernberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forza Bajen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gärsnäs the free kick. Forza Bajen's Bo-Erik Gernberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leo Skog, made in the 28th minute of the game. When Forza Bajen's Per-Olof Ekström in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gärsnäs's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Per-Olof Ekström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gärsnäs's Erik Hägert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gärsnäs's Erik Hägert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Ekström in the 37th minute of play. Gärsnäs's Erik Hägert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Gärsnäs from getting a goal against them. Per-Olof Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Hägert having to interfere. Hans Sörman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Erik Hägert made a huge save. Gärsnäs's Erik Hägert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Gärsnäs from getting a goal against them. Per-Olof Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Olof Ekström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Erik Hägert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per-Olof Ekström made a kick off. Gärsnäs's Erik Hägert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Ekström in the 52nd minute of play. Erik Hägert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Olof Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Gärsnäs got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Josefsson. When Per-Olof Ekström came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Forza Bajen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Olof Ekström couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Sörman in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Hägert saved Gärsnäs from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Olof Ekström in the 65th minute of play forced Gärsnäs's goalkeeper Erik Hägert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Per-Olof Ekström came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Forza Bajen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Olof Ekström couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, Gärsnäs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarl Josefsson to maneuver through the defense. Leo Skog kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Hans Sörman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 3-0 became the score in the 79th minute when Per-Olof Ekström elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Per-Olof Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Forza Bajen's Magne Mickelsson got a free kick in the 86th minute. Jarl Josefsson hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Håkan Wallander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Olof Ekström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Hägert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Gärsnäs's Tage Bruse threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hans Almstedt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
