John Malmgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Sixten Ström made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Karl-Axel Bruse reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sixten Ström. The goal made the score 1-2. If Bernt Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Örgryte IS's Harald Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Danielsson in the 39th minute of play. Karl-Axel Bruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Malmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sixten Ström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Macksan BK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
