In the 22nd minute, Benjamin Nyman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sköllersta's Benjamin Nyman got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Arne Askestät showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Nyman, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Sven-Erik Jakobsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Karl-Ove Kjellbom to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Benjamin Nyman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sköllersta's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Nyman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Arne Askestät breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Nyman in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Arne Askestät prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Fransson made a kick off. When Sten Fransson came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Sköllersta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Fransson couldn't finish the play. When Sköllersta's Benjamin Nyman in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sven-Arne Askestät made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Nyman in the 72nd minute of play. Benjamin Nyman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Sten Fransson came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sköllersta fans jumped to their feet. FC Plättarna's attentive Mårten Sandström managed to snatch the ball when Eric Medrea made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. After having played for 86 minutes, Sten Fransson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sköllersta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Fransson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven-Arne Askestät made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Nyman in the 91st minute of play. Sköllersta's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
