A beautiful save bye Fors's goalie prevented a goal. Conny Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Anselius in the 6th minute of play forced Fors's goalkeeper Johan Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fenerbahce booed when Fors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Drake didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Conny Isaksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Fenerbahce got a freekick which was hit by David Petersson. In the 15th minute, Jan-Erik Göransson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Johnny Hultin. The goal made the score 1-1. Johan Söderberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Anselius in the 21st minute of the match. Conny Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Söderberg having to interfere. If Adrian Stenkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Johan Söderberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conny Isaksson went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Johan Söderberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Isaksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Conny Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Söderberg having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan-Erik Göransson made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Conny Isaksson could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Johan Söderberg however easily saved by the left post. Fors's Jan-Erik Göransson got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrian Stenkvist struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Johnny Hultin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fors. Conny Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Anselius got in the 67th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Johan Söderberg handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Fenerbahce's John Anselius got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johan Söderberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Anselius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conny Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Söderberg having to interfere. Johan Söderberg made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Conny Isaksson sent off a good shot on target. Conny Isaksson in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Johan Söderberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jan-Erik Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Johnny Hultin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Jakob Drake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Fors supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fenerbahce's performance. The match ended with a win for Fenerbahce.
