Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bengt-Åke Rosendahl started the match with the kick off. Kent Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Vallengren having to interfere. With a little luck, Helgum's Sonny Vallengren got control of the ball when Kent Vallin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bengt-Åke Rosendahl came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Österfärnebo IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Åke Rosendahl couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Åke Rosendahl during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Helgum booed when Österfärnebo IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Åke Rosendahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Österfärnebo IK's Kent Vallin got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Rosendahl in the 25th minute of play forced Helgum's goalkeeper Sonny Vallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Kent Vallin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Helgum's Sonny Vallengren. Sonny Vallengren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Jesper Hökkvist came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Helgum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesper Hökkvist couldn't finish the play. After 39 played minutes Helgum got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Ove Söderkvist. 44 minutes into the game, Bengt-Åke Rosendahl recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sonny Vallengren. Bengt-Åke Rosendahl showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Sonny Vallengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Rosendahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesper Hökkvist was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Rosendahl in the 51st minute of play forced Helgum's goalkeeper Sonny Vallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Vallin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Vallengren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. If Kent Vallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Åke Rosendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sonny Vallengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute Bengt-Åke Rosendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Vallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Vallin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sonny Vallengren having to make a save. Jesper Hökkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Frans Bäckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Kent Vallin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Sonny Vallengren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Vallin in the 94th minute of play forced Helgum's goalkeeper Sonny Vallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bengt-Åke Rosendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Österfärnebo IK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
