The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martin Wennerberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Karl-Magnus Hamnberg's late challenge caught a Håknäs FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Magnus Hamnberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Hillerstorp got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Magnus Hamnberg. In the 20th minute, Gösta Alebäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jens-Ove Uter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes, Stig-Åke Fransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hillerstorp and the Håknäs FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Håknäs FF booed when Hillerstorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Fransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Andreas Ivarsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hillerstorp's Nils-Emil Lundin didn't even have to move. 30 minutes into the game, Sören Löfkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Martin Wennerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andreas Ivarsson hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Martin Wennerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Uter in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Håknäs FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Åman to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Kent Böcklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Håknäs FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Böcklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Emil Lundin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Ove Uter was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Charlie Söderqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Håknäs FF and the Hillerstorp players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Håknäs FF's Charlie Söderqvist got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Gösta Alebäck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Wennerberg skillfully saved the ball. Håknäs FF's Jonas Åman got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Jonas Åman off the ground. Hillerstorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Ove Uter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Sören Löfkvist got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Håknäs FF's Martin Wennerberg got control of the ball when Sören Löfkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hillerstorp's Sören Löfkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 88 played minutes Jens-Ove Uter rounded Håknäs FF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Martin Wennerberg made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Sören Löfkvist sent off a good shot on target. Sören Löfkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Martin Wennerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Håknäs FF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hillerstorp were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
