In the 5th minute, Bo Åström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Wennerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Sandström in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Kurt Josefsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gräsmyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Josefsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Wennerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute of the match, Håkan Sandström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Martin Wennerberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 16 minutes into the game, Casper Isaksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Håknäs FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gräsmyu the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Söderqvist in the 24th minute of play forced Gräsmyu's goalkeeper Adrian Sjöman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Wennerberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bo Björk. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Böcklund in the 42nd minute of play forced Gräsmyu's goalkeeper Adrian Sjöman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Håkan Sandström was the one to do the kick off. Håkan Sandström might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Wennerberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Håkan Sandström ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Wennerberg having to interfere. Martin Wennerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Sandström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Åman during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Håknäs FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Åman to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Kurt Josefsson sped through Håknäs FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Martin Wennerberg. Adrian Sjöman made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Kent Böcklund sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Gräsmyu getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Rikard Gregersson hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Håkan Sandström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Wennerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Håkan Sandström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Wennerberg having to make a save. In the 93rd minute, Kurt Josefsson made a precise shot to the right of Martin Wennerberg. Håknäs FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 96 played minutes Gräsmyu got a freekick which was hit by Rikard Gregersson. Håknäs FF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
