The Gräsmyu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th minute of the match, Christopher Söderkvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adrian Sjöman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gräsmyu's Klas Holmstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Håkan Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Hääger's late challenge caught a Gräsmyu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hans Hääger helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Östersunds FK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Hans Hääger hit a great ball. Ludvig Ekegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Östersunds FK's zone, Håkan Sandström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gräsmyu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Söderkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. One of Östersunds FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gräsmyu:s goal. When Rikard Gregersson fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gräsmyu's protests and gave Rikard Gregersson a yellow card for diving instead. Rikard Gregersson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Gräsmyu's Kurt Josefsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ludvig Ekegren. Ludvig Ekegren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Kurt Josefsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 97th playminute. When the match was over Gräsmyu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Östersunds FK throughout the match.
