But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Giliusson couldn't finish the play. Karl-Oskar Nordstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Algot Brun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Olof Tillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Stensjön FF's Olof Tillman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig Hake narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 minutes, Kjell Valström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stenstorp IFK and the Stensjön FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christopher Kilström got free with Algot Brun in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Douglas Giliusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Oskar Nordstedts short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Algot Brun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douglas Giliusson to make the kick off. Douglas Giliusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Brun having to interfere. In the 54th minute Karl-Oskar Nordstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Algot Brun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Karl-Oskar Nordstedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Algot Brun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Giliusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Algot Brun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Granqvist in the 73rd minute of play. Karl-Oskar Nordstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Brun having to interfere. If Douglas Giliusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, Stensjön FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Arne Gustafsson to maneuver through the defense. Algot Brun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Giliusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Giliusson struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Algot Brun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stenstorp IFK. Douglas Giliusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Oskar Nordstedt in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Algot Brun saved Stensjön FF from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Karl-Oskar Nordstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stenstorp IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Oskar Nordstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Algot Brun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stenstorp IFK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
