An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Sebastian Brodin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 30 minutes into the match, Elgereds SK's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Dahlquist came free, but Yngve Jönsätt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Elgereds SK fully deserved thier win.
