The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Gallberg got free with Karl Sillén in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 6 minutes, Johannes Lindström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Britt-Marie FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Lindström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 8 in the game by Tobias Gallberg from a close distance when the talented Karl Sillén managed to make a qualified save. Britt-Marie FF's players were relieved. Britt-Marie FF's Karl Sillén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Torstensson in the 9th minute of play. Håkan Almqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Lindström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Sture Sundberg in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Britt-Marie FF's Harry Jonasson. Britt-Marie FF's Karl Sillén proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Britt-Marie FF from getting a goal against them. Ingvar Vedholm charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ingvar Vedholm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Holmsjö Wings's Ingvar Vedholm got a free kick in the 25th minute. Håkan Almqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Lindström in the 32nd minute of the match. Håkan Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Låsberg in the 34th minute of play. Johannes Lindström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Almqvist having to interfere. When Johannes Lindström came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Britt-Marie FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Lindström couldn't finish the play. Håkan Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Låsberg in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddie Låsberg to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Holmsjö Wings's Kenny Torstensson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Sillén was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Britt-Marie FF's Johannes Lindström in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Holmsjö Wings's goalie prevented a goal. Sture Sundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Karl Sillén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenny Torstensson in the 74th minute of play forced Britt-Marie FF's goalkeeper Karl Sillén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johannes Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Johannes Lindström might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkan Almqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johannes Lindström ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eddie Låsberg got free in front of the goal in the 89th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Håkan Almqvist was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 94 minutes of play Holmsjö Wings's Ingvar Vedholm was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The Holmsjö Wings players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
