In the 4th minute Lennart Enström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Sillén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Britt-Marie FF's Karl Sillén proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Britt-Marie FF from getting a goal against them. Eddie Låsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Britt-Marie FF's Magne Ödmann got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hurva BK's goalkeeper Bror Lindqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eddie Låsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 25 minutes of play, Britt-Marie FF's Johannes Lindström made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bror Lindqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sven-Arne Backlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Sillén having to interfere. Britt-Marie FF's Johannes Lindström got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Sillén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Arne Backlund in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Sven-Arne Backlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl Sillén was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Karl Sillén made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixten Fagrell in the 39th minute. Eddie Låsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bror Lindqvist having to interfere. If Eddie Låsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Britt-Marie FF's Karl Sillén got control of the ball when Edwin Alén tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Arne Backlund was the one to do the kick off. Bror Lindqvist was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Johannes Lindström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Johannes Lindström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 60th minute, Britt-Marie FF's Billy Pihlberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Billy Pihlberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Britt-Marie FF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Billy Pihlberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Nils-Emil Lund placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Edwin Alén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Sillén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Sixten Fagrell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Karl Sillén was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edwin Alén scored 4-4 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Sillén, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute Lennart Enström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Sillén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
