The ball had pretty good speed, but Rudolf Arhenius firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 6th minute Göran Emander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Björklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Borensberg's Göran Emander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tage Björklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nils-Erik Malmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rudolf Arhenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rännstensungar FF's Jonatan Haegg got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonatan Haegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rudolf Arhenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 28 in the game by Nils-Erik Malmberg from a close distance when the talented Rudolf Arhenius managed to make a qualified save. Borensberg's players were relieved. Göran Emander struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tage Björklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borensberg. John Vennerdal scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tage Björklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute of the match Dag Asserlindh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rudolf Arhenius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tage Björklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Emander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Nils-Erik Malmberg hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 56 minutes, Sverker Pettersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rännstensungar FF and the Borensberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. With his leg Tage Björklund managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Borensberg's Göran Emander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Rännstensungar FF's Tage Björklund got control of the ball when Göran Emander tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Mats Nyqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If John Vennerdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joakim Kinnman charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joakim Kinnman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rännstensungar FF's Joakim Kinnman got a free kick in the 70th minute. Mark Berg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. John Vennerdal might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tage Björklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Vennerdal ran back to his position shaking his head. If Göran Emander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonatan Haegg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Rännstensungar FF's Tage Björklund got control of the ball when Göran Emander tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Borensberg booed when Rännstensungar FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Jonatan Haegg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudolf Arhenius was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Borensberg's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
