But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Emander couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Vennerdal in the 16th minute of play forced City Slickers's goalkeeper Sixten Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Tim Vestberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. City Slickers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Vestberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Göran Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sixten Löfgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Emander, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Vennerdal was the one to do the kick off. Göran Emander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Vennerdal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixten Löfgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. John Vennerdal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Vennerdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 67 in the game by Göran Emander from a close distance when the talented Sixten Löfgren managed to make a qualified save. City Slickers's players were relieved. Tomas Deckbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rudolf Arhenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borensberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Deckbergh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 96th match minute, Borensberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Erik Waller to maneuver through the defense. Many of Borensberg's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Borensberg may have spent more time on the ball, but City Slickers were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
