Dals Rostock's Dennis Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kåre Lagerberg in the 2nd minute of play. After having played for 6 minutes, Lars-Erik Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fassan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Erik Mårtensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kåre Lagerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dennis Karlsson made a huge save. Lars-Erik Mårtensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Karlsson having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Lars-Erik Mårtensson took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Dennis Karlsson to make any attempt to save it. Kåre Lagerberg took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Karlsson. Dennis Karlsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lars-Erik Mårtensson made the kick off in the second half. Dennis Karlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars-Erik Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars-Erik Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Mårtensson in the 95th minute of play forced Dals Rostock's goalkeeper Dennis Karlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Fassan FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
