With a little luck, Magnificent XI's Jörgen Hellbom got control of the ball when Jens-Ove Kellman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jens-Ove Kellman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 26th playminute. Valentin Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Vester, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 47th match minute, Magnificent XI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ola Benett to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 67 minutes of play, Abbekås's Jens-Ove Kellman made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörgen Hellbom was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the match, Abbekås's Rutger Hammarberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jörgen Hellbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Alvin Kihlman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abbekås's Valentin Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Abbekås from getting a goal against them. Magnificent XI's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Abbekås. After 94 played minutes, Abbekås's Birger Bergqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jörgen Hellbom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abbekås reached it. Magnificent XI's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
