The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elliot Östlund hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Kilström in the 6th minute of play forced Norrsundet's goalkeeper Peder Hägg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Robert Kvalfält hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peder Hägg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Kilström, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Robert Kvalfält's late challenge caught a Lye IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Kvalfält helped the player get up and apologised. Jens Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Kristoffer Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Elliot Östlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norrsundet and the Lye IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 minutes, Gösta Kilström made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Norrsundet's Peder Hägg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gösta Kilström in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peder Hägg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 played minutes Lye IF got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Kilström. After 43 minutes, Gösta Kilström made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Norrsundet's Peder Hägg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Lye IF's Gösta Kilström fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 54th minute, Gösta Kilström fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Peder Hägg, passed just outside the right post. Peder Hägg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Kilström in the 61st minute of the match. Lye IF were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Norrsundet's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Håkan Browald took the corner. In the 70th match minute, Norrsundet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Kvalfält to maneuver through the defense. Lye IF's Kristoffer Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Kvalfält in the 74th minute of play. Eddie Västberg kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Oscar Eckegren put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kristoffer Nordström. Gösta Kilström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Peder Hägg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddie Västberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peder Hägg having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Lye IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Andreasson came free, but Kristoffer Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norrsundet's Robert Kvalfält got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Oscar Eckegren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norrsundet's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Eckegren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristoffer Nordström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despite being the better team, Lye IF failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
