The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pelle Gerdberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mary Janes Krigare's Per-Åke Ahlqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per-Åke Ahlqvist got free with Pelle Gerdberg in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Mary Janes Krigare defense, Walter Barck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inge Lidman. The Mary Janes Krigare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inge Lidman should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Eneryda's Pelle Gerdberg got control of the ball when Per-Åke Ahlqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mary Janes Krigare booed when Eneryda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Söderström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mary Janes Krigare's zone, Manfred Söderström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inge Lidman came out of the goal and Manfred Söderström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inge Lidman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Barck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Andreas Lind ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pelle Gerdberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Vilgot Holmberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pelle Gerdberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 40 minutes of play, Mary Janes Krigare's Andreas Lind made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pelle Gerdberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eneryda's Pelle Gerdberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Eneryda from getting a goal against them. Manfred Söderström took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inge Lidman. Inge Lidman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walter Barck was the one to do the kick off. Christian Västberg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Karl-Åke Ros took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pelle Gerdberg. Pelle Gerdberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Emil Sjögren took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pelle Gerdberg. Pelle Gerdberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Åke Ahlqvist in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pelle Gerdberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Åke Ahlqvist in the 69th minute of play forced Eneryda's goalkeeper Pelle Gerdberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Andreas Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelle Gerdberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pelle Gerdberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Lind in the 86th minute of the match. Pelle Gerdberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Åke Ahlqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kasper Ingvall fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eneryda's protests and gave Kasper Ingvall a yellow card for diving instead. Andreas Lind took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pelle Gerdberg. Pelle Gerdberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. If Walter Barck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mary Janes Krigare had played much better football throughout.
