When Vellinge FK's Jens-Åke Kruse in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Band Of Brothers's Kasper Ånger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Melander in the 16th minute of play. If Jens-Åke Kruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kasper Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Åke Kruse in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 minutes, Jens-Åke Kruse made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Band Of Brothers's Kasper Ånger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Band Of Brothers's Börge Lilja threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sören Sjödin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mattias Melander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasper Ånger having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jens-Åke Kruse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kasper Ånger was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Patric Majman lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arne Isaksson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jens-Åke Kruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Vellinge FK booed when Band Of Brothers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Band Of Brothers's goalkeeper Kasper Ånger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mattias Melander. Arne Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börge Lilja having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Vellinge FK got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Sandell. Niklas Sandell kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Billy Ekblom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Börge Lilja showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Vellinge FK's Jens-Åke Kruse in the 63rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Kasper Ånger was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Band Of Brothers through an amazing save. 65 minutes into the game, Vellinge FK's Mattias Melander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kasper Ånger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Kasper Ånger made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Mattias Melander sent off a good shot on target. Vellinge FK's Jens-Åke Kruse got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per-Åke Hellström kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Kasper Ånger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Åke Kruse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Kasper Ånger managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Vellinge FK's Mattias Melander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 79th minute Jens-Åke Kruse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasper Ånger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georg Jansson's late challenge caught a Band Of Brothers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georg Jansson helped the player get up and apologised. Billy Ekblom, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 88 played minutes Vellinge FK got a freekick which was hit by Georg Jansson. Vellinge FK's Jens-Åke Kruse got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kasper Ånger made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Georg Jansson sent off a good shot on target. Band Of Brothers's Kasper Ånger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Band Of Brothers from getting a goal against them. Sören Sjödin charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sören Sjödin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 96 minutes into the game, one of Band Of Brothers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Kasper Ånger, was totally fooled by Vellinge FK's Bengt Forsell, who 98 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
