The audience thought a goal was coming when Eddie Rönn got free with Emanuel Vesterberg in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Freddie Östlund kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Karl-Oskar Falck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Emanuel Vesterberg managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Linköping United's Eddie Rönn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 27 minutes, Freddie Östlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Harkrank and the Linköping United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Freddie Östlund hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Bertil Vedholm sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Harkrank's Emanuel Vesterberg didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marcus Wallin managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Harkrank's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Wallin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigvard Boström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrik Hääger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sigvard Boström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sigvard Boström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Wallin went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Freddie Östlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddie Rönn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Vesterberg having to interfere. The Linköping United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Harkrank were winning 0-1.

Emanuel Vesterberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Oskar Falck in the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Harkrank's zone, Eddie Rönn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Vesterberg came out of the goal and Eddie Rönn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Billy Kihlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Lucas Sundin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linköping United's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Sundin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Vesterberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Wallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Boström having to interfere. Sigvard Boström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Wallin, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Lucas Sundin kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Henrik Hääger got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-2 in the right cross in the 65th match minute before Sigvard Boström had time to react. When Karl-Oskar Falck came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Linköping United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Oskar Falck couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Billy Kihlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eddie Rönn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Linköping United's goalkeeper Sigvard Boström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl-Oskar Falck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Emanuel Vesterberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Harkrank eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
