Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Henning Runeberg got the match started through his kick off. Jonatan Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Ralf Örtendal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Malmberg having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Bergeforsen's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Runeberg came free, but Dan Malmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Karlholmsbruk's Ralf Örtendal in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bergeforsen's goalie prevented a goal. Bergeforsen's Dan Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Örtendal in the 14th minute of play. If Henning Runeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Bergeforsen's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Runeberg came free, but Dan Malmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralf Örtendal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Ekerot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Nils-Åke Hedbom made a huge save. Henning Runeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dan Malmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henning Runeberg in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Malmberg saved Bergeforsen from getting behind. Henning Runeberg struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Dan Malmberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karlholmsbruk. Dan Malmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Örtendal in the 41st minute of play. After 41 minutes, Peter Holmgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bergeforsen and the Karlholmsbruk players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Karlholmsbruk booed when Bergeforsen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Holmgren hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Malte Alebeck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dan Malmberg skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Bergeforsen's Jonatan Holmgren got a free kick in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Runeberg in the 48th minute of play forced Bergeforsen's goalkeeper Dan Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thor Heggert to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match, Ralf Örtendal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dan Malmberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Ralf Örtendal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ralf Örtendal came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Karlholmsbruk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Örtendal couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Bergeforsen's Jonatan Holmgren got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Dan Malmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Runeberg in the 63rd minute of play. Peter Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bergeforsen's zone, Ralf Örtendal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Malmberg came out of the goal and Ralf Örtendal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henning Runeberg in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Malmberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dan Malmberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henning Runeberg's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Karlholmsbruk's Dennis Örnberg got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Ralf Örtendal came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Karlholmsbruk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Örtendal couldn't finish the play. Sivert Bergendahl hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Bergeforsen's Dan Malmberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Bergeforsen from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Ralf Örtendal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Malmberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Henning Runeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Malmberg having to interfere.
