Trelleborg RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Bergsten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Asmundsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingvar Nordström made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Tor Strömberg sent off a good shot on target. If Rolf Bergsten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Rolf Bergsten put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Asmundsson. After having played for 31 minutes, Rolf Bergsten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trelleborg RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Bergsten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvar Thedin was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
