To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Täfteå IK's Edwin Bark sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ture Tidén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alexander Klementsson came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Täfteå IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Klementsson couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Peder Hääger notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Täfteå IK's Stig-Ove Abrahamsson.
