Ica Maxi if's Thor Bergman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Västerstrand in the 23rd minute of play. Ove Kihlman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bror Bergstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Mileus's goalkeeper Bror Bergstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Sigvard Löfgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Mileus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ica Maxi if the free kick. Sigvard Löfgren hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sigvard Löfgren to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Mileus's Sigvard Löfgren got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Sigvard Löfgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thor Bergman. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match, Sigvard Löfgren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thor Bergman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Sigvard Löfgren took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Thor Bergman to make any attempt to save it. If Oliver Skräddare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oliver Skräddare came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ica Maxi if fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Skräddare couldn't finish the play. In the 71stth minute of the game Tommy Tunström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Mileus's Bror Bergstedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sture Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bror Bergstedt having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Tunström in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bror Bergstedt saved FC Mileus from getting behind. Tommy Tunström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bror Bergstedt having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tommy Tunström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bror Bergstedt was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Mileus had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
