Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esbjörn Enegren to make the kick off. The nice shot from Alf Wik in the 53rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Svante Hedman had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Älgarås's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Ånger came free, but Stellan Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Bäcklin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alf Wik came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Svante Hedman could save by the left post. The Älgarås supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Älgarås would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
