The penalty shot was made by Jonas Hultin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Jackals's Per-Erik Fagrell. 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, FC Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Staffan Myhr came free, but Carl Kinnman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars-Erik Sjögren succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 19th playminute. The supporters of FC Bajen booed when The Jackals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Måns Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Bajen's Thor Larsfält got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in The Jackals's zone, Kurt Jönsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Erik Fagrell came out of the goal and Kurt Jönsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Kurt Jönsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bajen's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Jönsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Erik Fagrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Jackals's Per-Erik Fagrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Larsfält in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Jönsson in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Erik Fagrell saved The Jackals from getting behind. 35 minutes into the game, Uno Söderberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Jackals's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bajen the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Kurt Jönsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bajen's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Jönsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Erik Fagrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Staffan Myhr stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lennart Hård during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lennart Hård hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Carl Kinnman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Staffan Myhr went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Uno Söderberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Carl Kinnman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Staffan Myhr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Kinnman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
