The attack was good, but when Jörn Nyqvist in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Isak Möllgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Melander in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Jörn Nyqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isak Möllgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Santa Monica FC's Magnus Alebäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Hedvall in the 20th minute of play. When Fabian Möllgren came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Bollsta IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Möllgren couldn't finish the play. After having played for 29 minutes, Edmund Melander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Monica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmund Melander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Nyqvist in the 34th minute of play forced Bollsta IK's goalkeeper Isak Möllgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörn Nyqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isak Möllgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Melander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fredric Hedvall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fabian Möllgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bollsta IK booed when Santa Monica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patric Mager didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magnus Alebäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Möllgren in the 68th minute of the match. Edmund Melander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isak Möllgren having to interfere. Jörn Nyqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Isak Möllgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santa Monica FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
