Spectators: 7263 (Terracing: 5449, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ivar Karlberg kicked off to start the match. Ivar Karlberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Egil Söderkvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivar Karlberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Sven-Erik Björck struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Egil Söderkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borgstena. In the 21st minute of the match Frank Bammerman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egil Söderkvist skillfully saved the ball. When Landvetter RK's Nils Vallgren in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borgstena's goalie prevented a goal. Borgstena's Per-Olof Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Pihlblad in the 32nd minute of play. When Fred Högström fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Landvetter RK's protests and gave Fred Högström a yellow card for diving instead. Ivar Karlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Borgstena's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Vallgren came free, but Per-Olof Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Emil Pihlblad made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Borgstena's zone, Emil Pihlblad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Olof Paulin came out of the goal and Emil Pihlblad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Borgstena getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Emanuel Fredriksson hit a great ball. Nils Vallgrens short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Per-Olof Paulin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 61 minutes, Nils Vallgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Landvetter RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Vallgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Landvetter RK's Emil Pihlblad got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Emil Pihlblad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Olof Paulin was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Per-Olof Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Pihlblad, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Ivar Karlberg came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Borgstena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivar Karlberg couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Borgstena defense, Nils Vallgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Olof Paulin. The Borgstena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Olof Paulin should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Vallgren got free with Per-Olof Paulin in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ivar Karlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Vallgren took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per-Olof Paulin. Per-Olof Paulin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 94th minute Ivar Karlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Söderkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Landvetter RK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
