If Vilgot Ekblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pontus Ahlin in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inge Brogren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Billy Hellström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Arvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Fantasya reached it. Alexander Andreasson shot a long shot in the 89th minute and a light blocked Billy Hellström hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pontus Ahlin in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Fantasya's goalkeeper Inge Brogren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilgot Ekblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Hellström having to interfere. If Stig Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Fantasya fans cheered their team off the field, for while Åkarp had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
