The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcus Ståhlman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christer Lindberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Mattsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Gråfjuns United's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Lindberg came free, but Jan Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Lindberg in the 14th minute of the match. Christer Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jan Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gråfjuns United's goalkeeper Jan Mattsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Marcus Ståhlman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Ståhlman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christer Lindberg scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Mattsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christer Lindberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Mattsson having to make a save. When Marcus Ståhlman came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Hammarö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Ståhlman couldn't finish the play. Gråfjuns United's Jan Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Lindberg in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Gråfjuns United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Klint to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marcus Ståhlman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammarö's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Ståhlman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Mattsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Bokelund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils-Erik Björnsson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Nils-Erik Björnsson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Hammarö's Erik Fors. Erik Fors was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 59 minutes, Christer Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Lindberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christer Lindberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Hammarö's Joakim Sjöö got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 68 played minutes Hammarö got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Sjöö. Nils-Erik Björnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Fors having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Bokelund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Fors was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After 82 played minutes Hammarö got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Jonasson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Ståhlman got free with Jan Mattsson in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erik Fors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Bokelund in the 87th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Gråfjuns United got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Barck. Christer Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jan Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hammarö's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
