With his leg Börje Målare managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Brandstorp BK's Bengt-Åke Torstensson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dan Kling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Wästerberg having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Brandstorp BK got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Kihlberg. Dan Kling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Wästerberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Linus Olsman's late challenge caught a Brandstorp BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Linus Olsman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Lingbo IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Olsman to maneuver through the defense. Dan Kling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Åke Wästerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Åke Wästerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linus Olsman, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Lingbo IFK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kent Utter hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Linus Olsman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Åke Wästerberg came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Lingbo IFK's Linus Olsman. But to his dismay, Linus Olsman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 44thth minute of the game Linus Olsman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brandstorp BK's Åke Wästerberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bengt-Åke Torstensson sped through Lingbo IFK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Börje Målare. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Kling stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Lingbo IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Utter to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Linus Olsman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lingbo IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Olsman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Åke Wästerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dan Kling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lingbo IFK's zone, Bengt-Åke Torstensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börje Målare came out of the goal and Bengt-Åke Torstensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Linus Olsmans short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Åke Wästerberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If David Västberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brandstorp BK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dan Kling 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Bengt-Åke Torstensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Börje Målare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Bengt-Åke Torstensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brandstorp BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt-Åke Torstensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Börje Målare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Västberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Linus Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kent Utter hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Lingbo IFK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
