An unexpectedly hard shot by Gottfrid Giöck in the 24th minute of play forced Ervalla's goalkeeper Rasmus Brandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Vilhelmina IK's Olle Svensson got control of the ball when Anton Alebeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 played minutes Vilhelmina IK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Stenman. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time.
