The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Bajen Grabbarna FC's Olov Sundberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inge Larsfelt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 4th minute, Olov Sundberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Ekström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lennart Siggesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Alexander Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Olov Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Larsfelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Herrhagens boys got a freekick which was hit by Sören Lundberg. A collision led to Bajen Grabbarna FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Christian Granberg hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Roger Skarkman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bajen Grabbarna FC's Alexander Sundström didn't even have to move. Alexander Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Siggesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Bajen Grabbarna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Tidéksson came free, but Alexander Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dag Söderberg hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Martin Ekström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes, Bajen Grabbarna FC's Ingvar Björnberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inge Larsfelt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bajen Grabbarna FC reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olov Sundberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Lennart Siggesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Ekström got free with Alexander Sundström in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lennart Siggesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alexander Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Ekström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Herrhagens boys's Alexander Sundström threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lennart Siggesson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Martin Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herrhagens boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Ekström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Sundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herrhagens boys's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
