Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hjärup's Agne Rudqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Agne Rudqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Charlie Beneth saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Gunnar Nordlander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tving IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Gunnar Nordlander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Häger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gunnar Nordlander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Max Ahlgren during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tving IFK getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Max Ahlgren hit a great ball. Charlie Beneth acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Krister Jönsätt. Hjärup's Christer Häger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Nordlander in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Emil Björkdahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hjärup's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Björkdahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Beneth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerry Boberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Charlie Beneth came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerry Boberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. Christer Häger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Bengtsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Gunnar Nordlander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tving IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Nordlander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc Bengtsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christer Häger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Bengtsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Emil Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Beneth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Björkdahl in the 55th minute of play. Emil Björkdahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Charlie Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Alén during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, John Alén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hjärup's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Marc Bengtsson scored to the left of an out of position Christer Häger, making the score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Tving IFK's Kenneth Brandt got a free kick in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Hjärup's goalkeeper Christer Häger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnar Nordlander. Marc Bengtsson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Christer Häger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tving IFK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunnar Nordlander got free with Christer Häger in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charlie Beneth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Björkdahl in the 74th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Marc Bengtsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christer Häger, 1-2. Gunnar Nordlander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Hjärup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Göransson to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th match minute, Hjärup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Josefsson to maneuver through the defense. Max Ahlgren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christer Häger. Hjärup's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Tving IFK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tving IFK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
