The crowd rose to their feet as Kristian Strand kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christer Häger. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Vaggeryd FF's goal looked a bit too open when Agne Rudqvist came free, but Nils-Emil Lidberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agne Rudqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nils-Emil Lidberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emil Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Björkdahl in the 21st minute of play forced Vaggeryd FF's goalkeeper Nils-Emil Lidberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agne Rudqvist in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils-Emil Lidberg saved Vaggeryd FF from getting behind. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agne Rudqvist to make the kick off. Vaggeryd FF's Nils-Emil Lidberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agne Rudqvist in the 53rd minute of play. Emil Björkdahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Nils-Emil Lidberg made a huge save. Sven-Edvin Valström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Emil Björkdahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Emil Lidberg having to interfere. Emil Björkdahl who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Nils-Emil Lidberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
