In the 9th minute Agne Rudqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Emil Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match, Agne Rudqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nils-Emil Lidberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, John Alén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hjärup's supporters rose to their feet, but John Alén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Emil Lidberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Agne Rudqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agne Rudqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Emil Lidberg having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agne Rudqvist in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils-Emil Lidberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Filip Lindqvist came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Vaggeryd FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Lindqvist couldn't finish the play. Emil Björkdahl hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kristian Strand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Vaggeryd FF booed when Hjärup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hjalmar Sundberg fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaggeryd FF's protests and gave Hjalmar Sundberg a yellow card for diving instead. Hjalmar Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes, Hjärup's Sven-Edvin Valström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nils-Emil Lidberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hjärup reached it. In the 67th minute, Hjalmar Sundberg had to leave the field with a concussion. Sven-Edvin Valström's late challenge caught a Vaggeryd FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Edvin Valström helped the player get up and apologised. Sven-Edvin Valström hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Nils-Emil Lidberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agne Rudqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesper Sandell during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vaggeryd FF's Nils-Emil Lidberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agne Rudqvist in the 89th minute of play. If Emil Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hjärup fully deserved thier win.
