But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Lindman couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Ström in the 36th minute of play forced Kvarnö FC's goalkeeper Konrad Gustavsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 40 minutes on the clock, Rikard Adelsköld commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kvarnö FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harry Lindman to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute Harry Lindman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Jansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Thomas Ström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Kvarnö FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Hellkvist came free, but Konrad Gustavsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Lindman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Jansson having to interfere. Thomas Ström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Konrad Gustavsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Douglas Jansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Emil Qvarnström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Harry Lindman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Jansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Skokloster BF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skokloster BF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
